The Fourth Unknown King assumes the throne of Duinnor. He seldom leaves his palace and is soon replaced.
Vaza II dies and his son, Xurnon III, takes power. He is intent on conquest and sharply increases the number of soldiers in his armies. Under Xurnon III, great hardship will befall his people, who suffer from chronic food shortages and are growing discontent. The population of the Dragonkind has risen during the previous generations, though darakal production has not been substantially increased. During Xurnon III's first year, the wheat crops fail, and several minor uprisings are put down as the Dragonkind grow hungry and desperate.
