§ In the Dragonlands, Gurasa's wife dies. His only consolation is his young daughter, upon whom he lavishes his love and affection. He also begins sharing with her his knowledge of the Northlands, telling her stories of his travels and adventures, and he begins secretly training her to ride and to fight with sword and dagger.
