A Note Pertaining to
the Time Before Time

§
No one knows how long the Time Before Time lasted. As its name implies, time was somewhat meaningless during this period. Certainly, its passing was not recorded, or else such records have not survived. Some scholars speculate that this period was well over 200,000 years long, while others argue that its length was inconceivably long and cannot be stated sensibly. Be that as it may, legends and myths concerning the Time Before Time have indeed survived. It is from those stories that the salient aspects and events of the period are here assembled into some meaningful if not somewhat arbitrary order.

§
Therefore, this website uses numbered "Event" designations (in Roman numerals) rather than "years" for those entries pertaining to the Time Before Time and the Age of Strife.
