Year 1150-53 of the First Age

§
Having recently returned from his expedition to see the floating castle told to him by Elrasil, Parthais secretly grants certain lands to Secundur. They are to the northwest of Vanara, nearby the edge of the world, and will later be called Shatuum.

§
After a dispute, Parthais banishes his daughter Serith Ellyn and his son, Thurdun, from Vanara. It is told that Serith Ellyn goes to the floating castle that will become known in legend as Griferis. Her brother, Thurdun, secretly builds an army-in-waiting, formed by others who are banished from Vanara, those wronged by the unjust rule of Parthais, and other sympathizers.
